◾️VIVA TECHNOLOGY とは

VIVA TECHNOLOGY is one of Europe's largest open innovation festivals, attracting more than 45,000 visitors since its first edition in 2016 and continuing to grow in size each year.

The event is held in Paris, France, and has attracted many key figures in the innovation industry in France and abroad, including a visit by President Macron, participation by celebrities such as Elon Musk and the Williams sisters, former tennis players, and C-level executives from global companies such as LVMH, Baidu, and X. Participants are mainly from Western and Central Europe and French-speaking Africa, and in recent years, an increasing number of participants have come from Asia.

In "Challenge," which focuses on co-creation and collaboration between large companies and startups, partner companies and public institutions present issues, and startups propose solutions.

In 2024, Japan was the official "Country of the Year," with 60 companies and organizations participating, attracting global attention to Japanese innovation and startups.

UniWeb provides web accessibility features "on the day of deployment" by simply adding a single line of code to all web services.

In order to achieve equal website services for all, we want to put users in various situations, such as those with visual impairments or those who temporarily lose the use of their hands due to injury, in a position to understand correct information through various uses such as voice reading and contrast changes.

 

◾️What is Web Accessibility?

It is not a special accommodation for the disabled or the elderly, but anyone can be in the same situation as a person with a disability.

• Temporary injury or illness (e.g., car accident with arm in cast and unable to use arm, eye disease with eye patch and blindness, etc.)
• Age-related vision loss (presbyopia, lens changes (yellowish, dark, blurred vision, etc.))
• Eye diseases common in middle-aged and older adults (cataracts, glaucoma, etc.)
  *About half of the patients in their late 70s have cataracts with yellowing changes.
• Age-related hearing loss
• Foreign travelers (if a foreigner who does not understand Japanese is struck by an earthquake while traveling, can he/she obtain evacuation information, etc.)
