■Background of Collaboration
Web accessibility means that anyone, including the elderly and people with disabilities, can use the information and functions provided by websites and other means without difficulty (from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications' "Accessibility Support for Websites, etc. Required of Public Organizations").
Under the revised Law for the Elimination of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities (*1) effective April 1, 2024, businesses are now obligated to provide reasonable accommodation (*2), which was previously considered an obligation for administrative agencies, etc., and an effort requirement for businesses.
However, many companies often put accessibility on the back burner because they "don't know where to start" or "the technical burden is too great.
By combining FUJISOFT's wide range of solutions with Kiva's UniWeb, we will establish a system that can smoothly and effectively support accessibility for a variety of web services, including e-commerce sites.
※1 障害者差別解消法

障がいのある人から「社会的なバリアを取り除いてほしい」という意思が示された場合には、その実施に伴う負担が過重でない範囲で、バリアを取り除くために必要かつ合理的な対応をすること
◾️Benefits of Introducing Uniweb
- Improving Customer Satisfaction
Ensuring that all users correctly understand and feel comfortable with the information will greatly improve usability and the quality of the customer experience. - Improve corporate credibility and brand value
UniWeb offers flexible design customization without compromising the corporate worldview. - Web Accessibility Assessment Report
The system is equipped with an automatic diagnosis function in accordance with international guidelines (WCAG) to clearly visualize areas that need to be improved, and also provides corrective measures, enabling effective improvements while minimizing the operational burden.
◾️What is Web Accessibility?
It is not a special accommodation for the disabled or the elderly, but anyone can be in the same situation as a person with a disability.
- Temporary injuries or illnesses (e.g., car accident with a cast on the arm, eye disease with an eye patch, etc.)
- Age-related vision loss (presbyopia, lens changes (yellowish, dark, blurred vision, etc.))
- Age-related hearing loss
- Eye diseases with high incidence (cataract, glaucoma, etc.)
*About half of the patients in their late 70s have cataracts with yellowing changes. - Foreign travelers (if a foreigner who does not understand Japanese is struck by an earthquake while traveling, can he/she obtain evacuation information, etc.)

◾️About UniWeb
Uniweb supports web accessibility features on the 'day of implementation' by simply adding one line of code to all web services.
In order to achieve equal website services for all, we want to put users in various situations, such as those with visual impairments or those who temporarily lose the use of their hands due to injury, in a position to understand correct information through various uses such as voice reading and contrast changes.
Since its launch in December 2023, the system has been introduced to more than 600 sites, and its adoption is steadily expanding in Japan, both in the public and private sectors, as evidenced by its selection as the official site for the Osaka Healthcare Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka-Kansai World Expo.
In response to the European Accessibility Act (EAA), which will come into effect in 2025, we have also begun to expand into the European market, where accessibility is a pressing issue, leveraging our strengths such as automatic analysis functions and the convenience of immediate implementation.
We will continue to contribute to solving social issues in the field of accessibility while further strengthening cooperation with domestic and international website operators and digital service providers.
