Kiva and Sakura Internet signs a business partnership agreement - starting initiatives aimed at contributing to the continuous development of customers.

Kiva Inc. (located in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, CEO: Kota Nojiri, hereinafter "Kiva") and Sakura Internet Inc. (headquartered in Osaka City, CEO: Kunihiro Tanaka, hereinafter "Sakura Internet") signed a business partnership agreement on Tuesday, August 20, 2024. Consequently, we will initiate efforts aimed at contributing to the continuous development of our customers.

 

This initiative will provide the web accessibility tool "UniWeb", operated by Kiva, to the customers of the hosting service "Sakura's Rental Server" provided by Sakura Internet.

As a result, websites operated by users of "Sakura's rental servers" will incorporate features such as "text-to-speech", "text enlargement", and "adjustment of color and brightness", complying with international standards "WCAG 2.1" and national standards "JIS X 8341-3:2016", which will enhance the site's web accessibility. This means that not only will users have equal access to information on the site regardless of age or physical condition, but they will also be able to use the website more comfortably.

Moving forward, Kiva and Sakura Internet will continue to support the improvement of web accessibility and, ultimately, usability on our customers' websites, contributing to their ongoing development.
