Kiva Corporation (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuta Isozaki; hereinafter "Kiva") is pleased to announce that its web accessibility tool "UniWeb" has been introduced to the official website of Hard-Off Corporation (Head Office: Shibata City, Niigata Prefecture; President: Taro Yamamoto; hereinafter "Hard-Off").

Clicking on the icon brings up the accessibility menu, which includes a partial reader that reads text out loud and screen contrast switching at the touch of a button.

In addition, an AI-based multilingual translation function has been implemented to allow users to more smoothly view content in their respective languages.

Click on "Settings" at the bottom of the menu and select the language icon at the top to have the information on the site automatically translated based on your preferred language.

As a result, the Hard-Off Group now has many customers of all ages, nationalities, and lifestyles using its stores, and continues to grow as a reuse platform that connects with a diverse range of customers.

Therefore, from the perspective of corporate branding, we decided to introduce UniWeb, which would enable us to quickly and with high quality to support web accessibility on our official website.

The ability to translate information in real time and reduce the amount of work required to update the international pages on the site was another attraction in deciding to implement UniWeb.

It is not a special accommodation for the disabled or the elderly, but anyone can be in the same situation as a person with a disability.

• Temporary injury or illness (e.g., car accident with arm in cast and unable to use arm, eye disease with eye patch and blindness, etc.)
• Age-related vision loss (presbyopia, lens changes (yellowish, dark, blurred vision, etc.))
• Age-related hearing loss
• Eye diseases with high incidence (cataract, glaucoma, etc.)
