Please tell us about your past experiences and your current work.
I joined Yamazakura in 1995 after transferring from a software company as a member of the printer business startup team. In addition to planning and developing printers through OEM, I also handled sales.
In 2000, I launched a web business utilizing the internet, promoting new business development for BtoB card order services and e-commerce sites. By 2009, the web business was on track, and I oversaw sales, system planning and development, and customer support as a manager.
In 2021, I became an executive officer overseeing the web strategy and sales departments, responsible for expanding sales channels, developing partnerships, building the organization, and developing cloud services, among various tasks.
When did you learn about web accessibility?
Regarding web accessibility, while working in the web business, I realized its importance because cards are a product used by all employees of a company, and I aimed to build a site that is easy for everyone to use.
As a paper company, we have focused on sustainability for many years. We emphasize environmental consideration and believe it is essential to provide fair and accessible services to everyone in the digital realm as we aim for a sustainable society. This prompted us to actively work on web accessibility.
What prompted you to consider web accessibility compliance?
A significant factor that motivated us to promote web accessibility was the adoption of color universal design in August 2016. Since then, we recognized the importance of removing visual barriers and implementing user-friendly designs for more people. Building on this effort, we strongly felt the necessity of providing an equal environment for everyone to use the website and incorporated web accessibility into our plans.
As a company that values sustainability, we believe that building an accessible website is essential to realize a sustainable society in the digital environment, which led us to work on accessibility.
What were the reasons for choosing and implementing UniWeb?
The reason for choosing and implementing UniWeb was its flexible customization features that allow easy changes to colors and icon sizes, as well as its excellent design. In accessibility, adjustments to meet diverse user needs are important, and UniWeb provides multifunctional tools to achieve that. Additionally, the beauty of its design is maintained alongside functionality, which greatly attracted us as it allows us to enhance accessibility without harming the company's brand image.
These features were deemed ideal for improving our website, leading us to the implementation of UniWeb.
Please tell us the number of days and man-hours until you adopted Uni-Web.
The implementation process was very smooth. It was completed in just a few days, and our internal system personnel could handle it with minimal effort. Particularly, there were no complex technical settings required, and the implementation was straightforward, allowing us to start operations without any issues.
Do you have any future goals?
Moving forward, we aim to build a user-friendly website suitable for the era of diversity, ensuring it's functional for everyone, regardless of age or user group. We prioritize intuitive use and comfortable experiences for all. Therefore, we pursue usability, targeting a site that all users can access without stress.
We are particularly focused on UI (User Interface), emphasizing the balance between visual beauty and functionality to provide a comfortable experience for users. We will continue to develop websites that meet the diverse needs of users.

《Uni-Web Implementation Site》
The site for the cloud-based business card ordering management service 'corezo' has implemented 'UniWeb'.

About Uniweb
UniWeb provides web accessibility features "on the day of deployment" by simply adding a single line of code to all web services.
