What made you decide to support web accessibility (*1)?
Since our establishment in 1999, we have been operating restaurants and wholesale businesses based on our corporate philosophy of "raising the body temperature of the world," and we have long been aware of the problem of people who want to use our services but have difficulty receiving information directly from our website.
We met UniWeb through a chance encounter and decided to work together to address web accessibility starting in December 2024.
Have you considered in-house support or accessibility tools from other companies?
We did not examine this issue in-house or with other companies, because it was through our encounter with UniWeb that we first became aware of the concept of "web accessibility" and implemented it.
What do you think about the man-hours required to implement UniWeb?
I had the impression that the process of implementation was very smooth, and I was reassured by the fact that UniWeb could provide such a high quality service with just one line of code, as I saw examples of other companies using UniWeb before implementation.
Have you had any internal or external feedback?
Looking at the reactions on social networking sites, we have received positive comments about the brand's attitude, saying, "This is the kind of approach the brand is taking.
Soup Stock Tokyo is the first company with a physical store in the restaurant industry to implement UniWeb.
We hope that the introduction of "UniWeb" on our website will make Soup Stock Tokyo's information and products more accessible to the public.
I heard that you are also making efforts to employ people with disabilities.
Although there is a standard for the employment rate of people with disabilities, we are not simply working to meet that number; we believe that creating an environment in which each individual's individuality can be fully realized will lead to our philosophy of "raising the body temperature of the world.
While each employee has his or her own strengths and weaknesses, I hope to create an environment where we can offer each other a helping hand, starting with the question, "What can this person do that only he or she can do?
Do you have any future goals?
We would like to further expand our online services in the future, and we are currently seeing a growing need, especially for multilingual support, so we would like to promote support for other languages as well.

About Uniweb
UniWeb provides web accessibility features "on the day of deployment" by simply adding a single line of code to all web services.
In order to achieve equal website services for all, we want to put users in various situations, such as those with visual impairments or those who temporarily lose the use of their hands due to injury, in a position to understand correct information through various uses such as voice reading and contrast changes.
